His canines are showing a lot of wear - obviously he has chomped on a lot of elk and moose bones over his lifespan which was estimated at 8 or 9 years and was an alpha male ( black) of a pr etty decent group 9-11 so his tenure has ended and this is what is left as a testament to the life of a wolf. h\His skull measurements are 10 1/2 inches, which is pretty normal for an older male
