Real Bone Skull of a BLUE DUIKER Animal African Mammal Taxidermy Collect Science

Description

This is a real bone skull of a BLUE DUIKER  (Philantomba monticola).  The skull was beetle cleaned, and whitened and degreased with strong peroxide.  This skull is complete with lower jaw although I have not glued it to the cranium .There is a noticeable flaw--the mandible has been repaired. It was broken and repaired back, but was repaired crooked and missing the smallest of incisors from the right side.  It makes the mandible very off.  Please note there may be other flaws or damage that I cannot see, as this was a living thing and living things rarely show perfection in death.  Even though the mandible is not perfect, the rest of the skull appears to be, and the damage is not  on display, too significant making this really a nice little skull. The skull measures about 5 inches long, this is an adult male animal. It also has a nice set of horns almost 1 inch in length.  Blue duikers are a small African antelope.  This would make a great addition to a collection, as a scientific piece or hands on model. These are not an easy species to get a hold of as they are a CITES 2 species, meaning they are protected from international trade. As such I will only sell this to individuals in the United States, I will not, and  absolutely cannot ship internationally.  I am sorry.
Please note that this species is rated Least Concern by the IUCN nor is it on the endangered species list.  This animal was not taken specifically for its skull, but a by product of a deceased animal.  Meaning that this skull is perfectly legal to own and sell within the US.  I will not and cannot sell them internationally. Sorry.
