    This sale is for an original NS Meyer/ Meyer Insignia, distinctive unit insignia (DUI/DI) crest for the 39th Engineer Battalion. Based on the NS Meyer Hallmarks, this DI dates to between 1955 and 1965. It is regulation size (about 1 inch by 1-1/8 inch).
    The design for this crest was approved by the Army's Institute of Heraldry on May 25, 1955.  The unit's motto is "Fight, Build, and Destroy," which appears on the crest. The unit was organized for WWI in Texas and saw service in WWI, WWII (Italian Campaign), and Vietnam. This item ships free USPS First class mail.
